It is inhuman to feel as if your circumstances are fractional to you emotions, as something you never have control over. Thinking in that line, drains you of all your ability living you helpless, angry and guilty. The good news is that you have the control. You have the power to choose how you respond to everything and any situation. I have come to believe that my happiness, my success all depends on me, I have learnt how not to allow moods or circumstances rule me.
The world population today stands at 7.7 billion people. However, the difference between the 7.7 billion people lies in how each gets up every day. Matter of fact the way you get up determines your way of life.
There are two categories of people; those that Wake up;
- Playing the blame game or complaining about everything happening. Sometimes called the “night dreamer.”
- And those that take charge and manifest their daily actions, the “day dreamers.”
Daydreamers are very dangerous people, just imagine all the people you admire or are influential and trying to make an impact in the world fall under the day reamers. They believe in taking up responsibility. Have you ever considered the word responsibility? It comes from two word- response and ability. This means that you have the ability to choose how to respond to any circumstance and in your response lies the power to change your outcome.
Everyone under the sky experiences the same event eg when it rains or shines it does to everyone but there are those that take shelter and sleep, or cover themselves and walk through in pursuit of their life desires or endeavours. The two people respond different to the same event but will have a different outcome at the end of the day. Therefore, your response will differentiate you from night dreamer or a daydreamer.
Blaming is a response without any action, which never changes the outcome of the thing. Rather than blaming start responding with a positive attitude, change your behaviour to match your intended outcome. You cannot become better than your thoughts. To make a difference like the daydreamers, you need to change your thought, which thoughts changes your response and as a result, your response alters your actions. Like the old saying, you cannot use the same old mind-set, to create something new. it will always fail. Let us take 1+1 will always be 2. To change your answer you must add something new, add a new variable such as: 1+2=3 the new variable is 2 that created a new outcome 3.
Therefore, to become better you need to change. Change is a choice you make every day when you get up no matter the circumstances. Either to get up blaming/ complaining or wakeup to step up and take action. Even in your indecision, it is a choice. Opposition and challenges will always be at your doorstep but keep in mind it is from them that you will appreciate life better than ever before. The greatest news for you is that nothing ever stays the same, just like if you do not love the weather wait a little longer and it will change. But!, how will the new weather find you, prepared or ill prepared? So Stop waiting and start acting should be your daily goal.
