Instead of fighting your battles, I urge you to have faith and be grateful. Your mouth through prayer has the power to win over your enemy. You will not be the first!  Many great leaders have used the same principles, as we shall discuss their in. there is a big difference between being faithful and grateful before adversity and being faithful and grateful after adversity. 

 The prime Minister of Italy publicly declared how they had tried all they could to fight corona virus but all in vain, with still high death rates over 100 people dying daily. He surrendered the country to God, as man’s efforts was not bringing forth tangible results. Priests and other church leaders have stormed the streets in prayer for Gods intervention, to fight the epidemic.  Later, during the same week in East Africa, the Republic of Tanzania, with one victim by the time this article is written, HE, John J. Pombe Magufuli addressed the nation and asked his citizens to keep on their feet and pray without seizing, he surrendered the country to God before the virus spread through. The two leaders both surrendered their countries and put their faith in God, for protection, however timing; and when (after or before), is critical in building faith and gratitude.

In this era and even before, women are considered to be more prayerful compared to men, and you can prove it, just look around now what are the men doing, seated watching television, some are on line waiting to eat and sleep. The activities that stole your attention away from God are out of reach; right from soccer all stadiums have closed, the hug outs you went to spend most of your money, the gym to look good and be fit, the friends you relied upon for affirmation and confirmation. The things you spent time on for others to admire and appreciate you are out of reach now. Quarantine is a sign to look back deep inside yourself; renew your mind and transform your-self back to Gods glory.it is a sign that whatever you ran after every day is vanity and useless before God. A clear definition of “basic needs” 

Today I want to challenge all men, this is the moment to get on your feet praise and give gratitude to God rather spending your time watching television and on line. In scripture, God has always used men to save the word, and he will still use you today. This is the time you build your intimacy; with the lord for it is through you, that the world will be back at peace and saved.

In 2 Chronicles 20:21, the king chose men to sing and give praise to the Lord, to praise him because he is Holy and wonderful. They marched in front of the army, thanking the Lord for his love that endures forever. This was a time when Israel was out-numbered! by three enemy nations, Jehoshaphat the king by then chose not to worry. Instead, King Jehoshaphat led his people in worship, worshiping God in various ways; they thanked God for their victory ahead and in advance. Imagine! It was time for battle; the enemy was ready to fight, lined up awaiting command to attack the Israelites. .Instead of lining up the army, prepare themselves for war, the Israelites on one side of the valley were busy singing, praising God for his Holiness and tender love. Can you imagine instead of parading warriors to lead the battle, king Jehoshaphat paraded the choir! What did they think, singing unarmed in front of their enemies ahead of the battlefield, what did their enemies think? Despite of the oddness of their strategy, the men obeyed. The choir matched in front of the enemy declaring Gods unending love and thanking him for delivering them from their enemy.

This is how God wants you to approach your battle today against the epidemic, thank him in advance with faith and gratitude for solving your problems and challenges. For when you thank him afterword, your showing gratitude, which is very important and ok, however, when you thank him in advance, you are showing your strong belief and faith in him. Surprisingly when the Israelites sung songs of praise to the Lord with no weapons, the enemy on the other side of the valley, composed of the Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir started fighting and killing each other. With God you do not have to pick up weapons, He fights the battles for you and ahead of you. God wants you to lay down your weapons, stop trying to solve your problems by yourself, surrender trust and let him have it his way as your face your enemy. Then give thanks in advance and watch in gratitude as God fights your enemy on your behalf.

What battles are on the horizon of your life right now, that are keeping you awake, thinking, indoors, washing hands a thousand times, keeping you away from your job family and friends? I call onto you, spend and use this time to pray in faith renew your spirit with yourself, your family and God, thank God in advance for delivering you from the epidemic. Lay down that weapon, start praying to God to use the scientists not to rely on their understanding but on Gods wisdom and guidance to defeat the epidemic. Trust in the Lord for his has fought your battles before and he will still fight this one as well. Take off your time pray and be grateful because there is always light at the end of every tunnel. Matter of fact, the enemy fighting you today will be no more tomorrow because for every season ends. Be blessed as you keep your faith in God for his love and mercy endures forever.
