How to get out of the RAT RACE and EAT your CHEESE; The BATTLEFIELD is in your MIND I By Dr. RWAKISETA Herbert

The right perceptive is appreciating what you have now, than running after what you do not have. Eat your cheese.

During these moments, it is very easy for you to focus on what is wrong in your life, focus on what you do not have, the freedom taken from you, and the challenges ahead of you. Let me a sure you, if you proceed with that perspective, you are going to lose sight of the good things God has done for you before and is about to do for you. Do not take anything for granted your, family friends and opportunities God blessed you with. Step on the brakes and reduce your speed, why hurry! Speed will robe you of your gift, your joy and ability to enjoy the present moment that’s why you are a human being. In life nothing keeps in perspective. Business will always be slow, obstacles will always come your way but the only right perspective is to believe that God is the supply of all your needs. You have to believe that when one door closed, God opens another.  Two boys were raised by a drunkard father, however years later one become successful and the other become a drunkard, when asked why the different life style the drunkard said there was “nothing to lose,” while the successful said there was “something to prove” what was the difference? Their perspective, how each chose to see the situation at hand. Gratitude is a matter of perspective. I heard of a story about Confucius, he complained that he had any shoes, until he met a man without feet, his perspective changed and since then he acknowledged he had all he wanted in life. Truth be told as you complain someone out there wishes to have what you have, he where you are, walk like you, feed as you, live like you.

Whenever you complain, you remain. Whenever you complain about where you are, you will never get where you want to be. You will never increase unless you stop complaining and start using. Once you start using, God blesses that you are using to bless others and it is through that you also get your blessing. So to keep your life in perspective, start by making a list of that which you are grateful for, keep that list where you can see it, meditate on Gods goodness and blessing every day. It is out of this that you will build a positive perspective and release your faith through Gods activation. You are cut off from the outside world physically, you cannot leave your home, and curfews have been in place whoever is found out in some countries today is arrested coupled with a fine and imprisonment or even both. this has created anger depression and worry for the business men and others. In effect, it is not the outside that matters, it is the inside, what you do in that house today will determine your tomorrow.   You have to believe  that every day is a gift from God to you, and how you use your day should be your gift back to him. Use it wisely.

A middle-aged man named Phillip, had lost his reason for living, he felt there was no reason for him to live any more,  no reason to be thankful and excited, he was frustrated, and discouraged, he decided to go see a guru who lived in the nearby village. Upon arrival at the Guru's house, he was given a little exercise. He was asked to divide the paper into two. On one side to list his assets and all the things that he is grateful for, and on the other side he was asked to list all the challenges, and all the things bothering him. Phillip laughed at the Guru! I have nothing on my asset side handing the list back to the Guru. That’s fine responded the Guru, however, let us try and go through the exercise together. Am sorry to hear that your only daughter passed away said the Guru.  Frustrated Phillip turned and asked, “What he was talking about?” my daughter is alive and healthy he responded. The Guru calmly apologised and wrote under the asset list- “Health daughter.” Then the Guru said, “am sorry to hear your house burned down last week” My house did not burn down exclaimed Phillip! Calmly the Guru added; “place to live” to the list of assets. Phillip am sorry to hear that you were laid off from your day job? But where are you getting all this information. I have my job, and the pay is enough for me at my age. The Guru them wrote “a good job” on the list of assets. Enough with this nonsense, hand me that list Phillip requested? Silently after going through the list, with fears.    rolling  on his. check and  face turning. red, Phillip started adding dozen more assets that he had been taking for granted. Phillip left the Gurus house with a different attitude. Phillip had changed his perspective and started focusing on the good things he had, he got his happiness and joy back. You! should Stop taking thing for granted; you managed to get up and out of bed this morning without any help.  You opened your eyes and you could see with ease. You told your legs to move and they walked, when your spouse said I love you, you heard it loud and clear, when your child gave you a hug, you felt his heartbeat and tenderness, you tasted your breakfast, then why don’t you give glory to God for all that he has done for you. Look at the good side of the coin. You will never realise how great something is until it is no more. This is the time,  to appreciate he gifts you have dare not complain, change your focus and keep the right point of view.

In Psalm, 34:1 King David reminds us to bless the Lord at all times and his praise to continuously be on our lips. The scripture, says “In everything, give thanks” it never says, give thanks for everything. Therefore you don’t thank God for your troubles, but you thank God for the troubles he has gotten you out, you thank God for the difficulties he has turned around, you thank him for the increase he has given you, and the free air you breath every day. Let each day be a reminder to you that you are chosen and highly favoured. With this positive attitude, together we shall live happy and joyful in each day credited to us, we shall fix our perspective on what we have than what we wish to have living each day to the fullest. Be blessed as we change perspective during this difficult moments.
