In the 20th chapter of Exodus verse 16, the text reads I quote, thou shall not bear false witness against thou neighbor. End of quote Who’s thought neighbor as referred to in this verse of scripture? Years back when I was in law school, my negligence lecturer taught me that my neighbor was somebody that could or is directly affected by my acts and omissions. And since then I have related my neighbor to another affected by my acts and omissions. Do you think this explanation of neighbor as per my lecturer is what Moses the writer of the Torah, the last book in the bible meant?
