Stop talking to children and start Acting. The power in observation. Gardner RH

Why children do not listen. The power of observation. On average, a child hears 80% of does and does not. With the common phrase “do as I say but do not do as I do?” we forget that children learn not be hearing but by observation.  They learn from models all around them, on television, in the playing fields, neighbors at school among others. Am sure at one point in life you noticed your boy coming from a school with imaginary gestures of Spiderman, Captain America, or even soldiers yet there is no such character in the house or even neighborhood. You now know where they picked them. I once heard my seven-year-old daughter sing; “How far I’ll Go” song in Moana movies, I could not believe, so calm composed with the right pronunciation of words and flow to the song. Seated looking on, I was blown away, and later after she had finished singing, I was eager to know where she learned it! “Television,” was her response. Children are observing and learning from their environmen...

Avoiding Miracles, The Spiritual truth | Gardner- Dr. Rwakiseta Herbert

Indecision is fatal, it is better to make a wrong decision than building up a habit of indecision. If you are wallowing in indecision, you certainly cannot act- and action is the basis of success. Marie Baynon Lyons  Indecision will always lead to miracles, but once you decide, it seizes from becoming a miracle. Look around, everything you have everything become today is as a result of having taken that one, the decision in your life. You’re happy because you decided to, you’re satisfied. You decided to eat, your best because you decided to eat junk as your daily meal. The decision is the master test. I have heard people cry here and there blame and blaming, just stop blaming God, family, community, and government for your situation today, they have nothing to do with anyone that is indecisive. “Your action is the needle knitting the garment you will wear tomorrow.” Gardner- Dr. RWAKISETA Herbert.  Their role is to only equalize opportunities and never to equalize ...

Finding your New Identity | Gardner - Dr. Rwakiseta Herbert

"For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for me will save it.”  Discipleship is not just a matter of bending your will to Jesus’ will; it’s melting your heart into a whole new shape. A disciple is not someone who simply sets a new priority; a disciple finds a new identity. We see this in Luke 9:23–25. At first sight verse 23 looks like it’s just another way of saying set a new priority: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” But there’s more to it than that. In Semitic literature, the second and third sentences often restate the first. And here the second and third sentences say, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for me will save it.” The word life is not the word for physical life. There’s a good Greek word for that: bios, from which we get our word biology. The Greek word that’s translated “life” is psyche, meaning “self.” He’s talk...

The double Minded man. The call for attention. Gardner - Dr. Rwakiseta Herbert

Sometimes you may take a step backwards yet, backwards only to realize that a step forward could have been the best choice. Sometimes, you may take a step forward only to notice that a step backwards could have been better; and sometimes, you may only come to a later understanding that stepping aside could have been a great choice, but in all, before you take a step, ponder! The footprint of whatever step is what matter and it must be distinctive- Ernest Agyemang Yeboah Ever had double vision where your brain saw one picture twice, overlapping and leaving you disoriented? James warns that we can be double-visioned or double-minded (literally, “double-souled”) in our view of and relationship to God. When we pray or think about the Lord, a competing thought or picture may enter our minds, such as a lust for money or distaste over God’s providence in our lives. Suddenly, a real contest arises over which vision we prefer. Then we have doubts, and doubts have a way of multiplyin...
